The event, which begins at 5:30 p.m., will feature Joseph DeMarzo, deputy commissioner of Mental Health, Social Services and Youth Bureau with his team to share county resources that are available should students and their families need them while school is not in session.
Topics covered will be identifying risk factors associated with mental health issues, and other situations facing today’s teens. The goal is to connect families with resources over the summer when school is not in session.
The Putnam County Crisis Hotline operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week and can be reached at 845-225-1222. School counselors, social worker and psychologists remain available to students while school is still in session.
