Bedford Police: $2,800 Trailer, Tools Taken From Work Site

BEDFORD, N.Y. – A trailer containing a variety of tools was reported stolen Monday from a construction site on Narrows Road, according to Bedford Police. The project manager told police he was doing his daily check of the work on the Bedford Hills property when he discovered the trailer was gone.

He told police he believed the trailer, worth an estimated $2,800, was stolen at some point between 2 p.m. Saturday and 7:45 a.m. Monday. Police said the investigation into this incident is ongoing.

The following incidents were also reported in the Bedford Police Blotter:

  • Car Keyed At Katonah Train Station Lot: A 2012 BMW was reported keyed Tuesday at the Jay Street/Lakeside Drive commuter lot in Katonah. The car owner, a Katonah resident, told police he had parked his car at 5:10 a.m. and returned to the lot at 6:20 p.m. and discovered damage to the driver's side door. Damage to the car is estimated at $2,000, police said.
  • Missing Child Found At Home: A man reported his 3-year-old son missing at 1:27 p.m Monday, according to Bedford police. When an officer arrived at the Chestnut Ridge Road home in Bedford Corners nine minutes later, it was discovered that the boy had been hiding under his bed covers in his room, police said.
