He was born on May 15, 1931 in Mount Vernon. He loved entertaining others, making people laugh with his stories and jokes. He was always sought after for his great advice.

Nicholas was an honorable man who served his country in the Army during the Korean War; he was stationed in Germany. After serving, he felt it was important to get an education so he put himself through college at Westchester Community College and went on to became an instructor pilot, flying out of Westchester County Airport.

This is where he met his loving wife of 59 years. Together they raised their family in Larchmont, where he was a member of the Larchmont Yacht Club and enjoyed sailing with his family and friends on his Pearson 30 “Espresso.”

Nicholas was a very charismatic salesman and had a very successful career with Herman Miller and Design Tex.

He was preceded by his parents Nicholas Berardi, Sr. and Rose Berardi, as well as his three brothers, Michael Berardi, Guytano Berardi and Vincent Berardi. He is survived by his wife, Nicole Barson Berardi, his sister, Francis DiFalco, brother-in-law, Joseph DiFalco, his four children and in-laws, Cynthia Berardi and Dominick Cirelli, Melissa Berardi-Kegel and William Kegel, Matthew and Barbara Berardi, and Alysia Berardi as well as his grandchildren, Lisa and Peter Apazidis.

A memorial service will be held at the Larchmont Avenue Church  at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 2. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Alzheimer’s Association. He will be greatly missed by all.
