A former Scarsdale High School football player died suddenly at the age of 21 on Saturday, Nov. 3.
Maximilian Gregg Monterosso was working construction and living in Ridgewood, Queens, at the time of his death.
He played wide receiver and linebacker for Scarsdale's football squad.
He was born at Georgetown University Hospital in Washington, D.C. on Jan. 9, 1997. Max grew up in Maryland before moving to Scarsdale.
He is survived by his father, Gregg, his stepmother Diana Deidan, and his brothers, Noah and Reid. He is also survived by his paternal grandparents, Vincent and Patricia Monterosso, and maternal grandparents, Charlie and Betty Deidan as well as many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Friday, Nov. 9 at Edwin L. Bennett Funeral Home from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.
