I-684 Car Crash Victim Remains In Critical Condition

BEDFORD, N.Y. — A 39-year-old Danbury woman remained in critical condition Monday after a one-car accident on Interstate 684 on Sunday morning, according to Westchester Medical Center spokesman David Billig. The car’s two young passengers were also injured.

Celia C. Rodriguez was driving on I-684 in Bedford at about 11:13 a.m. when she lost control of her car for an unknown reason, state police said. The car turned on its side and struck a tree. Rodriguez, who suffered head trauma and chest injuries, was airlifted to the hospital by helicopter, police said.

The other two occupants, a 15-year-old boy and a 2-year-old boy, also from Danbury, were also transported to Westchester Medical Center, police said. Information on their injuries was not released.
