BEDFORD, N.Y. -- The Bedford Central School District accepted a donation of $7,000 from the BCSD Bike/Run that will go toward the project to replace the Fox Lane Campus track and turf field.
The annual Bike/Run is held in May and brings together 400 students from the district's five elementary schools run and bike to raise money to help support many of the school district's endeavors.
Jennifer Griff, Bedford Central Parent and Administrator and Operations Director for the BikeRun informed the school of the donation on behalf of the Bike Run Executive Committee.
"(We are) delighted to present $7,000 to support the refurbishment of the track for necessary repairs. They are pleased to take extra money from the Bike Run to put toward things the District needs so desperately," Griff said in a statement.
