Christie will lead the tour of this diverse property, which features ridgetop vistas, spectacular glacial erratic boulders, Piping Brook and important wetlands.
Walkers will see evidence of the history of this property as well as other unique ecological features that make this land an important addition to the Mianus River Gorge Preserve.
Attendees should come prepared to hike, including one moderately steep climb. Hikers will meet at the parking area at the preserve (across from 167 Mianus River Road) at 1 p.m. Oct. 4. This walk will give hikers a chance to explore this unique property, which is currently only open by private tour.
