To the editor:
The Democratic team is determined to succeed for the betterment of Bedford. I have known Chris Burdick and David Gabrielson since 2007, when they first ran for election to the Bedford Town Board. I have supported their re-election bids ever since.
Chris and David have truly done a phenomenal job. Both bring a unique set of skills to the Town Board.
Chris has an incredibly keen mind and is able to take on a multitude of projects and see them to the finish line successfully no matter the obstacles. He is a consensus builder who gets results. He is doggedly determined to succeed for the betterment of Bedford and because he truly believes in serving his constituency. He manages the day-to-day needs of the town and works on legislation that is good for the residents. No matter how much he has on his plate, his door is always open.
David Gabrielson quietly gets it done. David has a deeply analytical mind, a sharp intellect and an expertise of municipal finance no one else on the board has. David has always pushed for the support of community organizations; he knows they are essential to adding to the quality of life in our hamlets.
Our town needs Chris and David.
MaryAnn Carr may be new to running for elected municipal office but is not new to the community. I have known her since 2008. She brings a calm and inclusive style; her demeanor and skill set will be an asset on the board. She will treat her fellow board members with respect and will bring a commonsense approach to everything she does. MaryAnn is a team player, with no agenda of her own. Her only agenda -- our town’s residents. MaryAnn works as a consultant in the business world with high-powered clients where compromise to reach a solution is key to business success. MaryAnn brings people together.
Please join me in voting for Chris Burdick, MaryAnn Carr and David Gabrielson Nov. 3.
