Excursion to New Jersey Meadowlands: 9:45 a.m. Explore this 900-acre urban wildlife preserve with naturalist Michael Newhouse and Bedford Audubon Executive Director Janelle Robbins. Trip includes a pontoon boat tour of the Hackensack River and salt marsh. Fee for the boat tour is $15. Bedford Audubon Society, 35 Todd Road, Katonah.
Create a Beaded Bracelet and Make a Basket: 1 p.m.-3 p.m. The Westchester Area Basketmakers Guild will lead a workshop that teaches children and teens ages 10 to 18 how to make their own beaded bracelets. From 3 p.m.-5:30 p.m. An experienced weaver from the guild will teach participants how to create a reed basket. Registration is required and there is a $5 materials fee for each craft. "Aura is Art!" 6:30 p.m. Local artists will present their work prepared from paint samples by Benjamin Moore. These works of art may be purchased, and all proceeds will be donated to local military families charity "United in Their Honor." Complimentary wine, cheese and treats will be served.
