Bedford Audubon Society naturalist Tait Johansson will lead a group trip from Bylane Farm on 35 Todd Road in Katonah, starting out in the morning and travelling to Wallkill National Wildlife Refuge to check out spring migrant waterfowl. The trip then moves on to the Shawangunk Grasslands to see winter raptors, including Rough-legged Hawks and other grassland species. Registration is required. Participants should bring a lunch. The Bedford Audubon Society organizes field trips several times a month for members and nonmembers.

Grammy winner Eric Whitacre will also perform. Tickets are $25 for general admission and $20 for students and seniors. The church is located at 605 Millwood Road.

-St. Patrick's Day Scavenger Hunt, 10 a.m.-12 p.m.

The Westmoreland Sanctuary, located at 260 Chestnut Ridge Road in Mount Kisco, is hosting a special scavenger hunt to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day. The event will test kids’ map-reading skills as they try to find seven secret items hidden on the wildlife preserve. Cost for the hunt is $5.

Sunday

-Passover Balloon Storytelling, 11 a.m.-12:30 p.m.

-Woodworking for Wildlife: Bluebird Houses, 11 a.m.-12:30 p.m.

Come build a bluebird a new home! The Westmoreland Sanctuary in Mount Kisco is giving a woodworking workshop to support the continued population recovery of New York's state bird, the Eastern Bluebird.
