The fifty-eight-acre rolling estate consists of Japanese maples, conifers, cypripediums, camellias, dahlias, alpines, ferns, and rare woodland plants, all artfully composed within various gardens throughout the property. There are several unique bridges and secret paths.
There is a Japanese Maple Garden, a yellow garden, orchards, a perennial garden, a vegetable garden, an ornamental grass garden, and an experimental garden. Trees and plants are labeled throughout the garden.
Due to rough terrain and unpaved paths, this garden is not handicapped accessible. Visitors will not be admitted after 2 p.m.
Cost is $10/person, free/children 12 & under. For directions to this garden call the Garden Conservancy at 1-888-842-2442. gardenconsvancy.org.
