Dan Alon one of the five survivors of the 1972 Munich Olympics massacre, began fencing when he was 12.
At 27, he was among 15 fellow Israeli athletes to compete at the 1972 Winter Olympics.
On Sept. 5, at 4:30 a.m. Alon awoke to the sound of machine guns.
The Palestinian terrorist group Black September had invaded their suite in Olympic Village and seized 11 of the athletes as hostages. None survived.
Alon is author of "Munich Memoir." He will tell his story at Chabad of Bedford, 133 Railroad Ave., Bedford Hills.
