Westchester residents woke up Friday to something they have not seen a whole lot of this winter, snow! A wintry mix moved in overnight, leaving roads slippery and many of them with a dusting to up to a half inch of snow.
The weather forced the delays and closure of some schools including the Bedford Central School District, Croton-on-Hudson Schools, Lakeland Central School District and the Katonah-Lewisboro School District, which was closed.
For the rest of Friday, The National Weather Service is calling for periods of rain, snow, and sleet, becoming all rain after 4pm. High near 39. Chance of precipitation is 100%. Total daytime snow and sleet accumulation of less than a half inch possible.
