The beautiful start to the weekend that brought abundant sunshine to the area Saturday is now a thing of the past.

Sunday will see rainy, raw conditions with the chance of thunderstorms later in the day.

Periods of rain will accompany temperatures that struggle to reach the 50-degree mark as a daytime high. Rainfall amounts of between a half inch and inch are likely, with more possible if thunderstorms arrive.

Those storms are possible after 4 p.m. and up until around 10 p.m. Sunday.

There is a chance of more rain between 10 p.m. and midnight with overnight drizzle and patchy fog after midnight.

The overnight low will be around 45.

Patchy fog will continue until around 9 a.m. Monday with a chance of rain and thunderstorms during the day and a high temperature around 60.

Patchy drizzle and light rain are likely Monday night with a chance of rain after 2 a.m. Tuesday and rain likely later in the morning until around noon Tuesday.
