The chance of rain is 100 percent. As much as a half-inch of rain is possible over most areas, according to the National Weather Service, with most of the rain falling in the morning.

The wet weather will continue into the night with snow flurries potentially joining the spring showers early Wednesday morning, according to the forecast.

By sunrise Wednesday, the skies are expected to clear, beginning a string of mostly sunny days that should carry through to the end of the week. High temperatures Wednesday are expected to hit the lower 50s, according to forecasters.

Temperatures will continue to rise throughout the week, reaching the low 60s by Sunday, according to the Weather Service.
