Rain and cooler temperatures will return the area Friday and continue through Satuday, according to the National Weather Service.
The chance for precipitation will steadily increase on Friday with thunderstorms possible in the afternoon. High temperatures will be in the mid 60s. The chance of rain is 90 percent.
Friday night will bring showers and thunderstorms before 9 p.m., then a slight chance of showers between 9 p.m. and 1 a.m.
Saturday will see some peaks of sun at times with a high in the low 70s. But there is a chance of showers before 1 p.m., followed by a chance of showers and thunderstorms between 1 p.m. and 4 p.m., then showers likely after 4 p.m.with thunderstorms possible, including the chance of some severe storms.
New rainfall amounts of a couple of an inch are possible Saturday. Sunday will be sunny but cooler, with a high only in the mid 50s.
