Colder air will provide the pathway for the system that will make its way to the Hudson Valley.

Alberta Clippers can bring moderate to heavy snow on occasion, especially if they strengthen and slow down upon reaching the Atlantic Coast, according to AccuWeather.com.

The snowfall will be light and spotty with most areas likely to receive a few flurries to a coating at times Saturday to Monday, AccuWeather.com said.

A separate storm system is expected to bring periods of snow on Wednesday.

It is too early to predict the precise timing of the clippers or possible accumulations of next Wednesday's expected storm. Check back to Daily Voice for updates.
