A 21-year-old Rockland County man has been charged in connection with slashing another man's throat at an after-prom celebration. Ahkim Santana of Spring Valley was charged Friday with one count of attempted murder, assault, and attempted assault in connection with the May 25 attack, said Rockland County District Attorney Thomas P. Woman Killed After Tree Slams Into Car During Storm
An 80-year-old woman was killed during the height of Tuesday's severe storm when a tree slammed into the driver's side of her vehicle in Rockland County. The incident occurred around 4:45 p.m. Tuesday as the woman was driving south on Red Schoolhouse Road in the village of Chestnut Ridge during the storm when the tree toppled onto the roof of her car, said Ramapo Police Lt. Court Nixes Review Of Lacey Spears Murder Conviction
A former Rockland County woman who was sentenced to 20 years in prison for killing her son lost a bid on Friday in the New York State Court of Appeals to have her murder conviction reviewed, according to Westchester County District Attorney Anthony A.
