The threat of a wintry mix and possible light snow Tuesday has prompted some school districts in the area to cancel afternoon and evening activities.
One school district -- Brewster Central Schools -- had an early dismissal.
The following school districts have canceled afterschool activities:

Lakeland Central School District
Haldane Central School District
North Rockland Central School District
North Salem Central School District
Putnam Northern Westchester BOCES
Putnam Valley Central School District
Red Hook Central Schools
Rhinbeck Central Schools
Rockland BOCES
Wappingers Central School
