Baron, a 17-year old who will be a senior in September, is the producer of "Vote For Me: A Musical Debate" playing at the Roy Arias Stage IV at 300 West 43rd St. from Aug. 7 to Aug.16. Previously, a one-act short Baron wrote was produced in September 2013.

"I was looking for scripts and found a script by two writers from Princeton," said Baron, who raised money for the production through a campaign on Kickstarter, a crowdfunding platform. "We met up and connected and it's been awesome since then."

The show is a musical debate with no intermission. The audience votes for who wins using their phone and endings have been scripted for both candidates. The stage manager and lightning designer for the play are also students at Byram Hills. Baron credits Byram Hills for his off-Broadway success.

"They have such a great program," Baron said. "It is so powerful and taught me so much. The professionalism at Byram Hills has carried over to off-Broadway. I owe a lot of my success to the knowledge I have learned from them."

The play is being performed in an intimate 101-seat theater that has been built out like a debate hall.

"The show has amazing music and a great plot," Baron said. "It's going to do great on off-Broadway."

At his first production meeting, Baron told everyone he was only 17 but he said everything has gone smoothly.

"My cast and crew trusts me and I trust them," Baron said. "I've been doing theater since I was three years old. I've always been on stage. We have great one product that really shines."

Baron said he doesn't think he will have opening night jitters.

"I know for a fact the show will be ready opening night," Baron said. "I have nothing to worry about when I will call the show and tell my stage manager the show is yours. I will be able to enjoy the show without taking notes. This has been such a great experience and it's only going to get better."
