A number of aides close to Gov. Andrew Cuomo were investigated as federal attorneys looked into upstate development deals to determine if criminal activity took place, according to the Albany Times Union.
Eight people were indicted on federal corruption and bribery charges by then-US Attorney Preet Bharara but many Cuomo aides, who were not indicted, were also investigated, including having their banking, email and phone records searched and subpoenaed, according to the Times Union.
Cuomo has not been charged with any wrongdoing.
