Video: Suspect Rummages Through Vehicles, Steals Credit Cards At Long Island Apartment Complex

Police investigators are attempting to locate a man who illegally gained access to a Long Island apartment complex in the middle of the night and proceeded to steal from multiple vehicles in an attached parking garage.

Nassau County Police investigators have released video of a suspect involved in a burglary in Great Neck.

According to Nassau County Police, the suspect entered an apartment complex on Middle Neck Road in Great Neck at approximately 4:30 a.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 15. Once inside, he was able to gain access to the parking garage, where he rummaged through multiple vehicles.

Police said that the suspect removed multiple credit cards and miscellaneous paperwork.

Investigators described the suspect as a 5-foot-8 African American man weighing approximately 200 pounds with a “medium to stock build.” He is bald and at the time of the burglaries, was wearing a dark-colored flannel jacket, blue shirt, blue jeans, and black and white sneakers.

In surveillance video released by police, the suspect can be seen looking around the parking garage before attempting to open a parked car door that was locked. He can later be seen canvassing the same garage more than 15 minutes after his unsuccessful attempt.
