PAWLING, N.Y. -- An early morning fire at Daryl's House Club in Pawling resulted in some damage to the popular hub that draws visitors from throughout the region.
Multiple fire departments -- including Pawling FD and the Patterson FD -- responded to reports of a fire that started in the front of the building shortly after 4 a.m. Monday.
The two-alarm blaze, caused by an electrical issue with the exterior lighting, was quickly contained within 20 minutes and damage to the structure was limited as a result, according to wpdh.com.
Daryl Hall of Hall & Oates is part owner of the establishment. The 69-year-old Hall, regarded as one of the best soul singers of his generation, has hosted the television series, "Live From Daryl's House" since late 2007.
