ARMONK, N.Y. -- North Castle police came to the rescue of a little, lost doggie that had been found on Leisure Farm Drive last week.
The white canine was wearing a red collar but had no tags, police said.
They took the animal, which was covered with dirt and mud, to a local veterinarian in the hopes that its owner will be found.
Police were also called to assist the Greenwich, Conn., authorities after several dirt bikes were stolen from a residence on Bedford Road on Monday, July 25.
Officers went to the vicinity of North Greenwich Road after getting a report that the trailer with the bikes was headed there.
No suspects were found, police said.
A person who is trying to sell a house on Long Pond Road called police on Monday to report that several items had been stolen during an open house.
Also in the police blotter was a report from a Kensico Knoll Place resident who claimed to have seen three or four men wearing dark clothing and hoodies in his backyard on Wednesday, July 20, around 9 p.m.
He told police that they hopped a hedge and split in the direction of Route 22.
The suspects were gone by the time police arrived.
