A woman told police on Monday, Aug. 22, that her pet had been snatched from her Denim Place home.

She identified the suspect as someone she used to live with in West Harrison, police said.

As of Friday, the case of the missing pooch had not been resolved, police said.

In other police business:

  • Tuesday, Aug. 23: A woman called police from North Broadway to report that her brother had his name put on their father's bank accounts as an owner while the father was incapacitated and in the hospital.
  • Wednesday, Aug. 24: A caller from Old Orchard Street reported that several vehicles were parked illegally near Straus Park in the Quarry Heights section of town. The person also told police that youths were entering the old county swim club. Officers from the Westchester County Police Department were notified about the alleged trespassing. Two officers conducted a traffic stop on one of the vehicles and summonses were issued..
