Stamford Man Charged With DUI After Failing To Drive In Single Lane, Wilton Police Say

A 47-year-old area man was arrested for DUI and other charges following a traffic stop for failing to stay in a single lane.

Leo LaForce, of Stamford, was arrested on Friday, Nov 6, after Wilton Police spotted his 2018 Jaguar F-type traveling south on Danbury Road while failing to maintain a single lane, Wilton Police said.

During a traffic stop, officers found that LaForce allegedly had slurred speech, glassy and bloodshot eyes, with an odor of alcohol coming from his breath, police said.

LaForce agrees to take a field sobriety test which he failed.

He was charged with failure to stay in the proper lane, failure to use turning signal, and DUI. 

LaForce was released on a $260 bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Tuesday, Dec. 17.
