Multiple Injuries Reported In Head-On Northern Westchester Crash

First responders were dispatched to a stretch of Red Mill Road shortly after 7 a.m. on Monday, April 22 in Cortlandt, where there was a report of the head-on crash with injuries to several parties.

Members of the Mohegan Volunteer Ambulance Corps and Mohegan Fire Department, New York State Police, Peekskill Volunteer Ambulance Corps, the Cortlandt Peekskill paramedics, the Putnam Valley Volunteer Ambulance Corps and the Lake Mohegan Fire Department all responded to the scene.

According to the Peekskill Volunteer Ambulance Corps., one person was treated at the scene for undisclosed injuries, and that person, along with an undisclosed amount of other patients were later transported to a local trauma center for treatment on injuries. Their condition was not immediately clear early on Monday afternoon.

The crash destroyed both vehicles, a white van and a dark-colored SUV, and temporarily shut down Red Mill Road as police investigated and crews cleaned up the scene.
