Man Points Gun At Motorist In I-684 Road Rage Incident, Police Say

New York State Police arrested a 28-year-old man after he allegedly pulled what appeared to be a handgun at another driver during a road rage incident on I-684 in North Salem.

Shortly before 8:15 p.m. on Monday, May 8, troopers from the Somers barracks responded to a reported road rage incident that occurred in North Salem.

According to police, 28-year-old New Milford, Conn., resident Alison Fritsche is alleged to have pointed what appeared to be a gun at another motorist during the incident. Troopers initiated a search for their suspect, and tracked down Fritsche on I-684 near exit 8.

During the subsequent investigation, police said that it was determined that Fritsche displayed a black BB gun that closely resembled a 9mm handgun.

Fritsche was arrested and charged with second-degree menacing and criminal possession of a weapon, both misdemeanors. He was issued an appearance ticket and is due back in Town of North Salem Court on Monday, May 22.
