Man Attempting To Snooze At Gas Station Tops North Castle Police Blotter

ARMONK, N.Y. -- Apparently a gas station is not a good place to catch a few winks.

North Castle police were called to a gas station in White Plains recently after employees reported that a man had gotten testy when he was told he couldn't sleep there.

Police were called to a Valero Food Mart on North Broadway in White Plains early Sunday after a man there had become “aggressive and verbally abusive” when employees told him he couldn’t sleep there.

The man had moved on to more comfy quarters by the time two North Castle officers arrived on the scene.

Other blotter items include:

  • Friday, July 8: Police were summoned to Greenway Road by a caller reporting that an apparently intoxicated man was stumbling around in the vicinity of the town pool. He was nowhere to be seen when police arrived, but was spotted again later by town employees. Police returned to the scene and spoke to him.
  • Tuesday, July 12: Police received a 911 hang-up call from a residence on Memorial Lane around 8:15 p.m. They called back and spoke to a man who told them a couple had been arguing over drinking in the house. The male half of the pair had left the scene. Police spoke to both parties.
