NORTH CASTLE, N.Y. -- North Castle Police responded to a complaint of vehicles speeding down Laurel Hill Place and failing to stop at the stop sign, causing a dangerous condition for pedestrians on April 1. Police plan to monitor the situation, according to the North Castle police blotter.

Other blotter items included:

  • An injured animal was reported on April 6 on King Street. Officers responsded and found a deer carcass in the roadway at the traffic light. The animal was moved to the northbound shoulder of the road for removal.
  • A property owner on Brett Lane reported that someone had damaged her mailbox overnight on April 6. She did not want an officer to respond, and only wished to inform the department for informational purposes.
