ARMONK, N.Y. -- A motorist sought help after a scary encounter with a reportedly erratic driver on Route 22, North Castle police said.
The motorist told police that he was nearly run off the road near the I-684 overpass around 7 p.m. Monday.
He followed the other driver who was in a black Chevy Impala with New York license plates onto Route 433, police said.
The driver eventually crossed over the state line, and authorities in Greenwich, Conn., were notified, police said.
Other police blotter items include:
Friday, July 29: A woman called from a shop on Main Street to tell police that a man had walked into her shop with a box of “prints” he was trying to sell.
When she refused, he left, got into a pickup truck being driven by another man, and was seen later walking behind Bank of America.
The man was described as black and was wearing a grey T-shirt and khaki shorts, police said.
She told police she thought the incident was suspicious because of “recent jewelry store robberies in the area.”
The woman may have been referring to an incident last month where two valuable Rolex watches were snatched from a jewelry store in Mount Kisco. Two suspects are in custody in that case, according to a report by lohud.com.
Friday, July 29: An employee of Skipbusters, a repossession service, called police to report that she was trying to recover a vehicle from a home on Stony Brook Place but had been unable to get onto the property because of a locked driveway gate. Police responded, but also were unable to gain access.
