Michael Gagliardi, 51, of Somers, was arrested at his home on Wednesday, July 10, after investigators seized computers and other devices and was charged with two counts of promoting an obscene sexual performance by a child, felonies.

According to Westchester County District Attorney Anthony Scarpino, Jr., criminal investigators surveilled Gagliardi’s property on Monday, July 8, after receiving word from another law enforcement agency that a Somers resident may be in possession of downloaded child porn.

On Monday, while surveilling the property, a neighbor reported to New York State Police that two men were “posing as police officers, circulating concerns,” Scarpino said. The DA noted that the unidentified men had badges and were sworn investigators from his office working on the case.

Scarpino said that on Wednesday, his investigators executed a search warrant, where they found Gagliardi had downloaded explicit images of a girl who was between 4 and 6 years old. The images were downloaded on Wednesday, Feb. 27.

Gagliardi was arraigned in Bedford Town Court and released on $2,500 bail. He is scheduled to appear in court Monday, July 29.
