An accident involving an overturned automobile initially resulted in the closure of the left lane of southbound I-684 near the I-287 interchange in Harrison on Tuesday afternoon.
The accident occurred just before 4:30 p.m.
Farther south, there were stop-and-go delays on the northbound Hutchinson River Parkway after a 4:15 p.m. accident blocking the shoulder at Wolfs Lane in Pelham (Exit 9) with delays to Route 1 (Exit 7).
Heavy delays were reported on I-95 after a 4:45 p.m. crash on the northbound side at Exit 17 in New Rochelle.
