The Armonk-based company's "magic bullet" compound purportedly kills the virus on contact and can be used in cleaning products such as antiviral wipes and soaps, News 12 reported.
IBM and Singapore-based partner Institute of Bioengineering and Nanotechnology say it can eventually be turned into a medicine to protect cells from viruses, said News 12.
