Rail service was suspended in and out Penn Station for several hours Friday after an Amtrak train derailed around 9:30 a.m.
Three people suffered minor injuries, according to multiple reports.
The derailment occurred when an Amtrak Acela departing Penn Station clipped a New Jersey Transit train in the station. Approximately 300 passengers were removed from the train.
Amtrak passengers were diverted onto Metro-North trains at Yonkers to head to Grand Central Terminal from the Empire Corridor.
