Hastings Recreation Hosts 11th Terry Ryan Memorial Run

HASTINGS-ON-HUDSON, N.Y. -- The Hastings Recreation Department will host the 11th Annual Terry Ryan Memorial Run, formerly known as the Hastings Turkey Trot, Sunday afternoon.

The race has been dedicated to former local volunteer firefighter Terry Ryan since he died eight years ago. The event offers either a 5- or 10-kilometer race or a 1-mile fun run through Hastings streets.

The race, which is open to all runners, begins and ends at the Hastings High School gymnasium entrance on School Street at 1:30 p.m. The fun run begins at 12:30 p.m.

The sponsors will give free T-shirts to the first 100 registrants. The early registration fees are $15 for the 5K and 10K races; same-day registration is $18. The cost for the fun run is $5.
