A Paramus police officer chased down two separate suspects who fled the Bergen Towne Center, authorities said. Two men and a woman all bolted from the Nordstrom Rack, then ran in different directions, after stealing Burberry and Givenchy apparel and a Reaction wristwatch worth nearly $667 combined, Police Chief Robert Guidetti said. Officer Kevin Grady, who was among the responders, ran after Yerbinson Zapata-Zus as he fled east on Route 4 near Forest Avenue, the chief said. Nordstrom Permanently Closing 16 Stores
Nordstrom has announced it plans to close 16 of its luxury department stores as it makes adjustments to its business model amid the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. ** UPDATE: The Nordstrom store in Freehold will be closing. All other New Jersey locations will remain open. ** The company is also planning phased reopenings of its other 100 stores. Wayne PD Nets Large-Scale Jersey Shore Shoplifting Crew At Willowbrook With $6,000 In Hot Merch
A Jersey Shore-based crew that steals pricey goods from stores and then brings them to North Jersey to exchange for cash or store credit was caught by Wayne police with $6,000 worth of stolen items -- all with the security sensors still on them, authorities said.
