A Verizon store manager in Bergen County has been charged with computer crime after police say he accessed a customer's personal and financial information without permission. The incident happened on Tuesday, June 24, when a woman went to a Verizon store in Mahwah to purchase a new phone, the Mahwah Police Department said in a press release. A 19-year-old former Bergen County high school football player died after crashing off the highway in Mahwah, officials confirmed Jonathan "Johnny" Rodriguez-Pluchino, of Oakland, was driving north on Route 287 when his car veered off the road and struck several trees near milepost 65.4 around 7:15 a.m. on Tuesday, June 10, according to State Police Sgt. Mahwah officers assisted Upper Saddle Police Department in detaining a "possibly wanted individual" at Home Depot on Route 17 just before 5 p.m., Mahwah Lt. Michael Blondin said.
