Brian Patrick Fennell, of Westwood, died on Wednesday, April 2, at 47, leaving behind a family and community heartbroken by the loss. Brian was a devoted husband to Katrina and loving father to their two children, Caroline Cecilia and Reyer Patrick, his obituary on the Becker Funeral Home website says. He
Brian was raised in Pearl River, NY and had a long, successful career in construction management, starting at age 18 and rising to Senior Project Manager of multi-million dollar projects, his obituary says. He had a knack for building connections as easily as buildings, with a charismatic, easygoing nature that made everyone feel seen.
He was also a die-hard Knicks and Jets fan, a former All-State runner, and longtime Rockland GAA footballer. But what truly set Brian apart was his sense of humor. His legendary prank calls and warm, engaging presence left a lasting impression on everyone he met.
A GoFundMe set up by friends to support his wife and children had raised more than $29,000 as of press time. “To know him is to love him,” organizers Cristina and Jill wrote. “He will be missed by so many in the community and beyond.”
