Ramapo Indian Hills High Improves At Handling Bullying

OAKLAND, N. J. -- Ramapo Indian Hills High School District officials are reporting some improvement in the way harassment, intimidation and bullying incidents are handled, according to NorthJersey.com.

The district's self-assessment required by the state was reported publicly recently, and it included an increase of 10 points -- or 18 percent -- in the rating on how such incidents are dealt with by schools, NorthJersey.com reported.

Michael Marano, coordinator of the regional high school district’s harassment, intimidation and bullying policy, said the rating is based on several factors, including reduced bullying reports, increased HIB programs and improved reporting procedures, NorthJersey.com said.
