WYCKOFF, N.J. -- Robert J. Kane, of Wyckoff, died on Friday, Oct. 7. He was 49.
Born in Hackensack, Kane lived in Ridgewood before moving to Wyckoff 14 years ago. He was a self-employed attorney, with his office in Wyckoff.
He was a member of the New Jersey and New York bar associations, as well as a certified matrimonial attorney. He was also admitted to the bar of the Supreme Court of the United States.
Kane was vice-chairman of the Wyckoff Planning Board, as well as a member of other various social organizations.
He is survived by his wife, Celeste; sons Benjamin and Matthew; parents John and Carol Kane; and several sisters- and brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
Kane was predeceased by his grandparents.
Visiting hours will be from 3-7 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 10, at the Vander Plaat Funeral Home, 257 Godwin Ave., in Wyckoff. A funeral mass will be celebrated at 9:45 a.m. on Tuesday at St. Elizabeth's Church, 700 Wyckoff Ave., in Wyckoff. Entombment will follow at the Maryrest Cemetery.
