OAKLAND, N.J. -- Nancy A. Polumbo, of Oakland, died Sept. 28. She was 67.
Born in Columbus, Ohio, she was raised there until she relocated in 1968 to Wayne
Polumbo resided in Wayne for 20 years before moving to Oakland for 10 years and then to Greenwood Lake, N.Y. for nine years before finally returning back to Oakland for the remainder of her life.
Plumbo was the life of the party, and she was a bartender at many establishments throughout the years, including the now closed RJ’s Tavern in Oakland and Bill’s Tavern in Butler, as well as The Rainbow in Greenwood Lake.
She is survived by her son, Tony (Danielle), of Oakland;; grandson, Tony, of Oakland; sister, Kay Herdman (Joseph) , of Mechanicsburg, Ohio; two nephews, Joseph M. (Shawn) and Timothy Herdman (Christy), all of Mechanicsburg, Ohio; and several great-nieces and great-nephews.
Memorial donations may be made to either Passaic Valley Hospice in Totowa or the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network.
