OAKLAND, N.J. -- Georgina “Jeanie” Gallup, an Oakland resident, died Oct. 15.
She was the daughter of Lily and George Dobson, and was born in England.
Gallup attended the University in England for culinary arts with a specialty in baking and cake decorating. She worked at the Wyckoff Bakery and Shop Rite of Oakland’s bakery department.
Her volunteer work included being president of the Oakland Volunteer Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary.
She is survived by her husband Joseph; her sisters, Patrice and Barbara in England; her five children, Georgina “GiGi” Carroll, Christine Gallup, Andrew, Joseph, Matthew, and their families; and 18 grandchildren and a great-granddaughter.
Gallup has requested everyone wear vibrant colors to celebrate her life.
