WYCKOFF, N.J. -- Douglas Balfour, 58, of Wyckoff, passed away Thursday, Dec. 17.
Born in Paterson, he lived in Fair Lawn with his sister and family before moving to the Christian Health Care Center in Wyckoff three years ago.
He was a member of Covenant Christian Reformed Church in North Haledon and a faithful member of the Friendship Ministries at Midland Park Christian Reformed Church for many years.
He was the son of Ellen Balfour (nee Kunis) and the late Alexander Balfour.
He was the brother of Judith Dykstra and her husband, Douglas of Fair Lawn; uncle of Brad, Tracey and Jamie Dykstra; nephew of Betty Gower of Hawthorne; and cousin of Rhonda Gere, Jane Stelpstra and James Gower.
The family will receive family and friends from 5-8 p.m. Monday, Dec. 21, at the Christian Health Care Center, Heritage Manor Auditorium, 700 Mountain Ave., Wyckoff. There will be a funeral service at 10 a.m. Tuesday at The Heritage Manor Auditorium. Interment will be in Fair Lawn Memorial Cemetery.
