Park Ridge Changes Course, Will Fight 700-Unit Housing Plan

PARK RIDGE, N.J. — In a turn of events, Park Ridge will challenge a 700-unit housing development at 1 Sony Drive, northjersey.com reports.

Hornrock Properties owns the 37.2-acre site, which is partly occupied by the electronics company.

The issue involving the 230,000-square-foot campus has been a point of controversy for some time.

The Park Ridge Citizens Group, a nonprofit some 1,600 strong, has strongly opposed the plan, saying it will change the character of  the town.

The plan also has been at the center of a long litigation.
