Oakland Performers Flow On 30 Years Later

The March 13 production will benefit scholarships for Ramapo and Indian Hills High School district students.

Fort Lee native and three-year member Andrea Levy-Davakis is rehearsing for the upcoming production.

"Most people don’t know what FLOW Follies is,” said Andrea Levy-Davakis the marketing and public relations producer.

“It’s not a cabaret, and its not a Broadway show. It is a fully collaborative effort where individuals give, donate and participate... for a really great cause.”

Last year, FLOW Follies gave away up to 50 scholarships totaling more than $35,000.

Levy-Davakis said she would like to see them double that this year.

Teacher Carmen LeVon, will perform with her daughter, Heather LeVon, and granddaughter Larissa LeVon.

“I took a break and came back for the 25th anniversary," Carmen LeVon said. "I like meeting new people. It keeps you young."

FLOW Follies will bring back hit numbers from past shows to be directed by Curt Buckler. Susan Heerema will be in charge of music, including a chorus of youngsters.

“Our motto is: three towns, two schools, one show,” said Levy-Davakis. "We have a lot of new people, but many are coming back. That says a lot."
