Wyckoff YMCA's Healthy Kids Day Promotes Good Habits

WYCKOFF, N.J. -- The Wyckoff Family YMCA will host its annual Healthy Kids Day on Saturday, March 19. This is a Y National event focused on gathering families in the community for a fun, free day of activity. Local vendors and volunteers will be on hand to help promote wellness, exercise, healthy eating and nutrition.

The Y will offer free classes, including Family yoga and Zumba, a Karate demonstration, exhibits and information from dietetic and nursing students, and sessions on aquatic and bicycle safety.

The Wyckoff Police and Fire Departments will be on hand as well as Wyckoff professional Chef Angie with a fun cooking demonstration.

Kids can participate in the Y’s Warrior Challenge Obstacle Course for 6-12 year olds (pre-registration and fee required) and a free community egg hunt.

The goal of the whole day is to promote physical activity, healthy food choices and having fun.
