Enjoy Breakfast At Marine Corps League Detachment In Oakland

OAKLAND, N.J.-- The Marine Corps League Detachment 744 will host a Marine's breakfast in Oakland from 8 a.m. to noon, Saturday, Jan. 16 at 65 Oak St., Oakland.

The Marines meet in Oakland and organize dozens of charitable events each year.

Cost is $10 for adults; $9 for seniors. The breakfast is free for children under 10.

Members of the Marine Corps League join together in camaraderie and fellowship for the purpose of preserving the traditions and promoting the interests of the U.S. Marine Corps.

This is accomplished by banding together those who have been honorably discharged from the Marines; voluntarily aiding and rendering assistance to all Marines and former Marines and to their widows and orphans, and by perpetuating the history of the United States Marine Corps through fitting acts to observe the anniversaries of historical occasions of particular interest to Marines.
