Pedestrian Airlifted After Crash Near Phillipsburg School (Developing)

A pedestrian was airlifted after being hit by a car in Phillipsburg Wednesday evening, developing reports say.

The pedestrian was struck near Phillipsburg Elementary School on Warren Street shortly before 5:30 p.m., according to initial and unconfirmed reports.

A medical helicopter was requested to take the victim to a nearby hospital with a landing zone at the accident scene, the report said.

Phillipsburg Police did not immediately return DailyVoice.com’s request for additional details.
