Allentown Motorcyclist, 53, Killed In Weekend Crash Remembered As 'Loyal Friend'

A 53-year-old motorcyclist who died in an accidental crash in Allentown over the weekend was remembered as a "loyal friend."

Carlos Batista was operating his motorcycle when he lost control and struck a curb in the parking lot of 2100 Mack Boulevard around noon on July 24, according to the Lehigh County Coroner's Office.

Batista was taken to Lehigh Valley Hospital-Cedar Crest where he was pronounced dead at 3:47 p.m., the coroner's office said.

The father of six was an experienced motorcyclist, having bought the bike around five years ago, a close friend, Stephen G. told Daily Voice.

His cause of death is multiple blunt force injuries and the manner of death is accident, according to the coroner's office.

The death is being investigated by the Lehigh County Coroner’s Office and Allentown Police Department.
